Hotel Chiminda Pelling

We stay there for 2 nights and booked a fmily suite room. The room was very well cleaned, blanked bed etc were also well maintained just the lighting in the room is poor. Major problems with the hotel which we observed is: There is no one in hotel in night, except security guard and few interns who don't know anything. In my case the water stopped at entire properity at night 11 PM, including me many other people went to complaint but there were no one available at receiption to help. Few intern staff helped me with a bucket of water in night 4 AM. Next day morning when we went again at 7 or 8 AM, the hotel manager (I guess he was a manager) said that it is not his job to keep checking the water is coming or not. it is security guard job. Being a guest how can I know their process. He was just trying to skip from his responsibility. On top of that after this big problem no one got any compensation or sorry from the hotel. They even charge for a cup of milk which you order for your yunger kid. coming to food: Their buffet are overcharged compare to what they serve. It is better to order from their menu. However the service is little slow which is acceptable on hills due to difficlut wather etc. Biryani and Tea is good. If you are lucky and reach there in clear wather, you can see Mountain Kanchanjangha as well from the tarrace

One of the worst hotel, I stayed at. One the very first day itself, they gave us a option of choosing a heater for an extra charge of Rs 300 per night, but at the end they gave us a blower which blowed only cold air and we had to pay 300 for nothing for one night. Second thing, the geyser is worst and takes time to release hot water. On the second day, there was no electricity and we had to start our chilly morning with cold water and they provided us with no option for hot water and then, on the 3rd day when we had to check out early and depart, because we had a train to catch, the water supply stopped in our room and they said it will take time to fix. Stay here only if you have other better options. Worst experience.

Just checked in. The hotel room is unimaginable filthy! Bedsheets and pillow covers are not washed after previous guest, have hair and blood stain on them. Bathroom door has fungus on it. Asked a staff 30min back for sheet change, but no response. Room phone isn't working to call the reception, so now I need to climb down 3 floors to contact reception. Wish I can cancel it now, because this hotel is both dirty and expensive at the same time.

1. Hotel is on main road 2. very neat and clean hotel with good paintings. 3. Breakfast was too delicious mainly poha. 4. Rooms are spacious with all amenities. 5. My family room was awesome as you can see pictures. 6. Quality of body wash and shampoo given was also very good.
