Houseboat New Suzan

I had a terrible experience, did confirm in the morning before leaving for Srinagar, we were told to call him upon reaching the ghaat but his number was switched off when we reached at noon. Waited 45 minutes at ghaat and then went myself looking for houseboat. Upon reaching, found Sahil there who took me to a different houseboat, from where it was a beautiful view of the mountains in front but the houseboat from inside was terrible, it was basically under construction room. The fan wasn't working, there was no power plug for phone charging, some construction work happening around. They later came to change the room, not because of all these problems but they had some booking and shifted us back to the old one where we went first. This one had proper room at least but much small in size and barely any view from the houseboat. The day was completed in all this juggernaut and I had a 3 year old kid going through all this needless stuff. I then decided to take the Shikara ride, which was told to be of 2500 and upon lots of negotiation it came to be around 1000,the ride lasted 1hr 15 mints including couple of halts at the shops. The same ride was available for 500-600 by the shikara at ghaats. I read positive reviews about the houseboat, hence went for it. There was a home cooked dinner served with a great hospitality, which was good. I then checked out @7:30 in the morning next day.

I have stayed there for two nights two rooms this houseboat is really beautiful excellent service good food best location. Good rooms neat and clean. Hotel manager Mr. Gulmohamed was very cooperative person. Definitely value for money. Amazing stay I recommend to people book this houseboat. Thanks Mr.gulmohamed and Goibibo...

Bad experience regarding pricing. I booked this but owner asked me to pay extra . I paid it as I don't want to argue him at that moment. He also moved me to another houseboat. He was asking to give good rating. However, Gul Mohammad ji was very kind and he took very well care of whatever we need.

Very good experience. I booked a room in New Suzan Houseboat for 5 nights. I spent quality time with my family. Awesome. Owner Mr. Gul Mohammad and his father is very nice person and very cooperative. Rooms are well neat and clean and well decorated. All basic facilities are available.
