Resort Palmeiras Dourado

Resort Palmeiras Dourado is a very cozy, warm, comfortable, and perfect accommodation facility in Velsao area in South Goa. I am happy to provide a detailed overview of my stay which was perfect. And hopefully this will answer all your questions which arise while you are looking for a stay option in South Goa. The owners of the resort Mr. and Mrs. Orville are extremely warm, caring, cheerful and helpful. Mr. Orville upon our arrival took us personally in his car for a nearby village tour sharing stories related to the local cuisine, bakeries, and places. We are thankful to him for his kind efforts for making us comfortable and acquainted with the village environment. I highly recommend visiting Peter's van bakery where he has hand made cookies, bread, cakes, and many more things. Peter is a living legend of hand made bakery products which are nearly scarce nowadays. Mr. Orville's son is very helpful, and guided and connected us with local sports, trekking and traveling guides. Mr. Denver planned a great trekking trip for us, and was extremely patient, and helpful in answering all our queries. But sadly due to weather conditions our trekking trip had to be cancelled. But, we look forward to going on trekking trips with his guidance in our next trip to South Goa.Mr. Brian was very helpful in providing us with transportation facilities, and constantly helped us with our nearby visits.Mr. Vijay the security incharge is a very cheerful, and helpful person. He was always there to help us with anything required with a smiling and cheerful nature. He gladly shared local sight seeing spots with us. The Chief Chef Mr. Felix, is an extremely caring person who was very considerate about our vegetarian diet, he made extra efforts for our breakfast and provided us with immensely tasty vegetable curries everyday with crispy Parathas along with other options like Upma/Poha, fruits, Bread, butter, Jam, Juice, Coffee, tea etc. He gladly shared local sight seeing spots, and nearby markets with us. We were very happy to meet him everyday during our breakfast where he personally took care of our food needs. The kitchen team members including Dominique, Remy and others took great care of our food requites. Mr. Vishal is a very enthusiastic, and cheerful person, and he made great efforts to take care of our food preferences. Mr. Anthony, the housekeeping in-charge is an immensely considerate, responsible and cheerful person, who ensured that all our room requisites were fulfilled. He took great care of our room necessities, requirements and happily shared local sight seeing spots with us. We were glad to have Mr. Anthony as the housekeeping in-charge for our room.The Velsao beach, a very nice, peaceful beach is nearby and has one Shack (eating facility) named Driftwood owned by Mr. Zavier. The vegetarian food (Kadhai Paneer, French Fries, Butter Roti) at Driftwood were immensely tasty and it became a regular spot for us to eat. The hot chocolate at the shack was too good. Mr. Zavier is a considerate, and helpful person and dropped us back to our resort after our dinner as it was late. Overall, if you are for a peaceful, calm, serene, green, and warm environment to stay, Resort Palmeiras Dourado is a just a perfect spot for that. The greenery around the resort gives immensely peaceful vibes and the owners and staff are extremely warm, and caring people always with a smile to help you.

hotel was ok but rooms are very small. biggest draw back is location. located far behind from main road. All around jungle with no market. not a good place for family because nothing to do after you reach hotel room. rooms were clean. South goa is not a happening place with bar, Cafe and restaurants. no market around the hotel. we regret we book this hotel and left best hotel in north goa calungate. only advantage is airport is just 15 mins away. I prefer to stay in north goa instead of south goa hotel was ok but location not good. jungle all around. nothing to do.

My stay in Resort Palmeiras Dourado, Goa was Awesome. Staff is very polite humble and co operative. They gave us a surprise by celebrating my kids birthday. They planned cake and make my day wonderful . I highly recommend this resort. In fact I will book this resort in my another trip. They upgraded my room also. It’s pool facing, ambience is damn good. Food is delicious. Food and breakfast is so delicious that start a day with positivity. I give 10/10 to Resort Palmeiras Dourado, Goa

Hotel is good for those who are not with kids and want a serene place. There is internet problem in room. Hotel is having plenty of varieties of flowers. There is mosquito in and around room. The staff are amazing and well behaved. The complimentary breakfast is just satisfactory as very limited variety. The hotel is in isolation and one may find problem in getting food are any thing in outside if you don't have vehicle. The see beach is also about 500 metre away.
