Very nice and comfortable stay in Hotel Shamyana,staff is very supportive and helpful,best part is it's location ,just opposite of Dal lakegate number 2,,get a mesmerizing view of Dal lake from hotel room,their food was very delicious and authentic,overall excellent experience,wish to stay here again

room charges is too high as compare to service and quality and first day they shifted us in another hotel it's not good for us so many problems faced with shamyana hotel I wouldn't like to stay again in this hotel

Lake view Room was Good and Service was also good but the problem is that on enterance there was NON VEG counter and also no LIFT here.

The rooms are neat and clean. View of Dal lake from the rooms is good. The entrance to the rooms corridor is little bit narrow but the service given by the staff is amazing. They provide only 1-2 choices in breakfast e.g. Bread omelette toast but whatever they provide is very tasty. They have a restaurant on the ground floor. The food they serve is awesome. One more thing they don't provide tea maker, tea bags, milk powder in the room. I recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay.

Excellent location, well maintained & clean rooms, very polite behaviour of hotel staff.
Food at Shamyana restaurant is awesome, one of the best restaurant in the area.

Room allotted to us was located on the corridor between ground and first floor , which I personally felt as if entering a dungeon.. There was power failure all around.. but being in Srinagar , we need not switch ac or fan on. but lighting is problematic. the windows of our room.opened to backside , which is a timber processing shed. and the curtains were not fixed properly and because of that I felt a little loss of privacy . (Rooms on First floor may be ok, as its windows open to Dal Lake)

There was a renovation work going on in the hotel in such a situation they couldn't have taken the booking for the period. It was a horrible experience.
