The houseboat isn't situated at Dal Lake, instead it's on Jhelum River and hence not much good surrounding. No market in the nearby area. No Pantry in a houseboat. The condition was good but it felt very isolated.

It was great experience for me the people was amazing and help ful. They arranged my airport transfer and sightseen very easily and also arranged permission for sightseen for the attraction .
They are one of the best people . the houseboats neat and clean and food was 100% home made

First of all the location is not at all good..It is in the Jhelum river and not in Dal lake and does not give a glimpse and feel of a traditional houseboat.Its just a compressed wooden room structure with improper finishing.The front view and other views are not original. The staff was good and helpful and that was the only plus point I found. The money been charged doesnot justify the location as in cheaper rates you would find better houseboats in Dal lake. I would not recommend this.

I stayed here from 03/05/16 to 06/05/16...The overall stay was 5/5,
Service 5/5, Located in Jhelum river...since it is in running water..no stinky smell...but when i did shikara ride in Dal lake i saw clean water in some part of Dal lake also (some house boats are in bad stinky water in Dal)..
Another advantage of this SGH house boat is it is located in river shore.. so you can anytime get into land to explore the city by walk...but in Dal lake, boats are in other side so you always need a Shika ...more

Nothing to say about shelter houseboats. one of the best please to stay in srinagar. centrally located, easilly access through land , excellent arrangement for sightseen . Very Helpful staff. food was amazing
I just booked 1 night stay and extend for more 3 nights and arranged everything through them
