Sahari Mariental Resorts

Its really a nice place. I had stayed there in a mud cottage that was my first experience staying in a mud cottage it was really a nice relief staying der. The service was really good they maintain pro hospitality and the food as well . This place has a completely a private ambience this cottages are middle of a eucalyptus plantation. And its just 6 km's from munnar topstation . @ the end of site seeing i could reach room faster thats again another best part of the location. Last time when i had choosen to stay in munnar when i went for site seeing i had to return all the way 35 km's bak to reach the town. About the place vattavada (kovilloor)village its the real village i could meet alot of nice ppl. There is a strawberry plantation in kovilloor village . I got the real fresh strawberry and carrots as well wch they ve plucked and given to us. Sahari mariental resorts is a complete destination to spend for atleast 3 days they took us for off roading and arranged the lunch in allmost top of a mountain.... This resort provide alot of activities like camping, camp fire , barbq area in middle of the plantation. That was the 3 rd time i was been to munnar but i felt like i'd been to a very new place cz its totally different from munnar atmosphere. The climate was around 10 degree c .i will surely will go der again n again wid my frnds and family tooo.

Resort: First of all, This resort is around 40km away from the main town of munnar. Its located bordering a reserved forest and the location is amazing. If you wanna spend some time away from civilization and enjoy nature, this is the place. you may see differnt insects here and there but in a location like nothing can be done. Rooms: The rooms are very spacious. There are totally four cottage like accomodation. Each room has a sit out, Dressing room, Bath and a big room. The beds were very comfortable. It has wooden flooring. Food: They serve you home cooked food. The food was delicious and the staff were more than happy to cook what we asked for. Staff: The manager and the cook were very courteous and were helpful.they took extra care to make our stay pleasant. Over all, I recommend this place. Take your family or group of friends and have a trip to remember.

The worst resort/hotel/homestay I have ever stayed. Booked for 5 people (28th to 29th December) and they failed to provide all the amenities they have mentioned in the booking. 1) The building they provided was different form the location they mentione2) Provided only one double bed and an extra single mattress for 5 people 3) No drinking water 4) No glasses or plates, didn't provide even on request 5) No Wi-Fi 6) No bath towel ( they provided only one bath towel on 29th 10 am after so many request and followup) 7) The place was not clean 8) Flush was not working properly 9) For breakfast we had to go other building (1km) Really bad experience. Everything, there was nothing good in this place. We were forced to stay there as we didn't had anywhere else to go because we reached the place around 12.30 (midnight). Really bad experience

Whats Good: Only book if u are a nature lover, Located literally in Jungle. No t much amenities, just a nice Room/ Cottage. Surrounded by lots of wild animals (safe though) and scenic beauty. Whats Bad: Even after my advance booking,manager and hotel staff threw ma luggage out of ma room and kept on reception.When I shouted , then they agreed to through the new people out from the same room. The excuse which they gave was that "there was an issue with their booking system".Later some how I agreed to settle down for anither room in a not so good place because I had no other option in the middle of Jungle.
