We had a great time at Rippon Heritage Bungalow. Satheesh and Amal along with the other members of the staff were very helpful and supportive. They did not leave a stone unturned when it came to hospitality. The location is very ideal, top of a hillock with tea plantations all around enough to immerse yourself in the serene, calm environment of nature and its freshness. The property is a heritage building supposedly built around the 1930s, however constructions and remodellings have happened on the original foundation to cover the needs of the modern day traveller. The property has good amenities for greater engagement of a family including indoor games, badminton, swimming pool and kids play area. The entire property is dotted with a good amount of high rise trees which enhances the overall beauty of the place. With Rippon tea estate surrounding the property, visitors can take a stroll in the meandering valley surrounded by tea gardens. The place is little out of the regular touristy circuit, but all the famous and mostly visited places are within an hours drive at max. However, if your ask is for a calm, laidback and relaxed time, then Rippon Heritage Bungalow is a great place. Food is typical Kerala style by default but chefs are open to make changes / dish out your preferred/favorite dish. The caring attitude and penchant for hospitality of the staff is tremendous. Satheesh also gave us an extended tour of the property explaining the history of the building and showcasing the various trees in the garden. Plucked few passion fruits, guava and cocoa pod. Cocoa does taste good even if it's raw :). Another point being, the place is popular for cine shootings as well. Several movies and serials were shot in the property, latest one being in 2021 as told by Satheesh. This is definitely a repeatable place and will be our choice for any future vacays in that locality. Thank you Satheesh, Amal and team for making our stay memorable.
