Russia Travel Restrictions

OPERATING STATUS:

Restaurants, bars, nightclubs, shops are open with restrictions

  • Seamen of foreign nationalities and Seamen holding Indian passports would be allowed, subject to clearance from the Ministry of Shipping. Seamen should be destined for Russia only
  • Transit through Russia is not allowed for Indian travellers. The current guidelines say: Travellers from India, UK, Turkey, Switzerland, the UAE, Maldives, Egypt, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Korea, Cuba, Serbia, Japan, Seychelles, Ethiopia, Vietnam, Qatar and Finland are allowed to travel only on direct flights to Russia and on flights that originate from or are destined to Russia.

  • RTPCR TEST, QUARANTINE & VACCINATION REQUIREMENT:
  • MANDATORY RTPCR test (with QR code) for Indians, conducted 3 days (72 hours) before departure. The certificate must contain following information –
  • name, date of birth
  • exact date and time of collection of the biological material.
  • must indicate that the test was carried out using the PCR method and that the result is negative.
  • name and seal of the issuing organisation.
  • Must undertake a test on arrival as well. The post arrival COVID test will be done after crossing passport control at the airport and travellers are not required to wait at the airport for the result.
  • Russian citizens have to undergo a COVID-19 test within 72 hours after arrival into Russia. The results will be uploaded on the Unified Public Services Portal. No Covid-19 PCR test is required if the individual has been vaccinated in the last 12 months or can present documentary verification of having recovered from Covid-19 in the last six months
  • 14 days institutional quarantine, if tested positive on arrival.
