CG-Ala The Coffee Grove

Hi all. We (me and wife) regularly travel every 6 months. But this time we planned this trip along with my college friend (a couple and a kid). We planned to visit Wayanad and after a lot of research into reviews, we finalized cg ala coffee groove restaurant and resort. The resort has 4 deluxe rooms and cottages, the location is near vythri. We started from Bangalore at 5.30 am and reached resort around 2 pm afternoon after visiting edakkal caves. As we had read a lot of reviews about the restaurant we thought of having lunch. We ordered 4 phulkas. paneer mutter .veg kadai.fried rice and jeera rice.to our surprise, nothing was tasty except phulka which was soft. paneer mutter was very sweet.veg kadai was average..whereas the pricing is a bit on the higher side. the food is not worth the pricing.Later we were given two deluxe room..let me describe the room in detail. Rooms are bigger in size and is having hall attached to it.the room flooring is some old red tiles .the bed is rested on iron frame which makes sound every time when we sit on it.there are lot of flies insect inside the room as there is no mesh on windows and the room is next to coffee plantation.the horrible thing in the room is there is a lot of voltage fluctuations due to this the fan doesn't run at full speed.we felt so much hot staying inside the room.Tv was not working .morning it takes more than hour to heat the water in geyser due to power fluctuations .The doors locks are in very bad condition.we need to lift the door and put a lot of effort to lock the door.there is a swimming pool which is located near cottages.when we visited swimming pool the water was not looking fresh at all and there were some leaves in the water.overall our experience was very bad with cg ala coffee grove..

I truly enjoyed our stay and felt just like heaven and in arms of nature, delicious tasty food, cleanliness, staff are very friendly and with turn down services, natural spring water pool, site seeings near by natural river running across the plantation. Natural environment is present inside the resort, feel pleasant and refreshing. Rooms in mid of Coffee Plantation, accommodations are exactly same as shown in the site. Bed and everything in room were comfortable..Can't express through words visit and have great experience. Looking forward to come back again with my family and friends. I had an amazing stay with exceptional hospitality. The food was not only delicious but also affordable, with a different breakfast served each day, adding variety to my mornings. The barbeque facility was a highlight, and the staff was incredibly punctual, always attentive to every request. The property also features a cozy bonfire area, a refreshing swimming pool, and well-maintained rooms and washrooms. The most notable aspect was the excellent road connectivity, making it easy to access. Overall, a fantastic experience with great service and amenities!

The resort location is outstandingly beautiful. must say service compliants request are resolved quickly. another best part is their food is so lovely n good quality. the best choice we had to stay in vythiri. or even bit off to kalpetta. Highly recommend this stay, n value fr money. Just request hotel owner to keep maintaining this same way. n thnks again fr stay.
