To start with..We had booked 2 rooms for my family. We reached there at 11:30am.. We were told to wait for sometime as the rooms were getting cleaned.Meanwhile we decided to tke a property tour. No doubt the concept of wooden bunglows is outstanding bt still there are many things which has to be done. We checked-in in our rooms with hill view. Rooms were clean. We were told that we will be given sum quick bites as we were hungry. Bt the bites weren't so quick..We were dirctly served lunch at 3:30pm while we were half dead starving that too after 4reminders . The service here is too slow. The food was served in thali system. Very spicy. There was a short circuit at the resort in the evening for which there was no electricity around 2hours in the resort. Later at night one of our booked room ; Room number 6 we found that the AC..TV..Phone nothing was working.. They have solar hot water system at the resort so you can imagine that there wont be any hot water running in your rooms!!!! Morning after showering them with loads of complaints we found that the service has suddenly turned bit quick.. We were assured many things..We had high expectations frm Saraai but it failed to meet our expectations as it lacks in service. I would rate this property as 2.5

as written by everyone place is too far from igatpuri. i had booked 4 rooms . rooms were neat n tidy. i was very disappointed with service. i read in reviews tat service is very good but in deed it was horrible. staff is not ready to cooperate for everything they said no. v had to convince them everytime. they charge **** for glasses also .isn't it strange. n if u have booked online they will treat u as if u r staying for free. breakfast spread only 2 items. no choice. i asked them for salad n after waiting for 40 minutes they said it wud take more time. i literally pleaded them to give me peeler n knife so tat i cud cut n serve my other guests who came with us. they didnt even bother. it was a treat from my side to my friends but it left me to an embarrassment for getting them to such a place whr u get no proper service. worst part was tat at about 2 in the nite they put off the generator n all air conditioners went off. then at about 4.30 no power at all .even fans not working it was so miserable. then at 6 30 i cud see one staff n i complained he told me they were sleeping hence they didnt come to know . overall property is good but not managed as thr is no professional staff .

Really good option for people looking to break away from the rush of the city. Close to both Bombay and Pune, Saraai provides great value for money. The service by the manager, Kausar, and the rest of the staff is real good, too. Had simple breakfast on botrh days that I was there and the lunch once - the food was very tasty, although the curries were a bit heavy. Add to it, a small swimming pool overlooking the hills nearby, and it makes for a cute little escape.

Wish i had an option for negative rating. Horrible food, bad maintainance, spiders in the room, bad service, dirty towels, no sanitary or dental kits provided and i can go onn n onn. Its a sheer ripp off. Way below standards. Not worth the price. Waste of money and time. Shud not be priced more than 1500 a night. Really frustrating.
