A Serene Escape into Nature – Our 3-Night Stay at Neelkuranji Our recent stay at Neelkuranji was nothing short of fantastic. Nestled amidst lush greenery and perched about 1 km up a hill, this property offers a truly peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life. From the moment we arrived until our departure, everything about our stay was smooth, relaxing, and memorable. Getting There Reaching Neelkuranji is an experience in itself. After turning off the main road, a winding uphill path leads you deeper into the forested hills — it felt almost like entering a scene from Jurassic Park! The drive is scenic and exciting, giving a sense of anticipation as you make your way up to the property. It’s well worth the short climb — the setting at the top is calm, tranquil, and completely surrounded by nature. Location and Ambience The property is vast, beautifully maintained, and ideal for leisurely walks or simply relaxing amidst the greenery. You wake up to the sounds of birds and the sight of mist-covered trees. Whether you're sitting on the veranda sipping tea or strolling along the garden pathways, there’s a constant sense of peace and rejuvenation. The fresh air and the serene environment are ideal for unwinding. Check-In and Rooms Check-in was seamless. We were welcomed warmly by the staff, and the process was quick and efficient. The rooms are clean, well-furnished, and spacious, with all the necessary amenities. The beds were comfortable, and the housekeeping was consistent and meticulous. The natural light and views from the room added to the charm. Food While the menu at Neelkuranji is limited, the quality and taste of the food more than make up for it. Everything we tried was freshly prepared and delicious. A special mention goes to the tawa chicken, which was our absolute favorite — flavorful, well-spiced, and cooked to perfection. Every meal felt homely and satisfying, and the staff was happy to accommodate simple preferences for our family. Staff and Service The team at Neelkuranji truly elevates the experience. They are polite, attentive, and always eager to help with a smile. Whether it was arranging meals on time, offering local tips, or ensuring our comfort, the staff took excellent care of us throughout our stay. If you are in Munnar & you don't stay in Neelakurunji Luxury plantations then you will be missing something awesome part of your trip. Reading & surfinng all over internet I finally decided to book Neelakurunji to celebrate our first wedding anniversary.The property is abt 20km away from the munnar town ie.chinnakanal.But trust me the onward journey was breathtaking.scenic to its best.You find some tourists poins like photo point on the way to chinnakanal.Once you take a diversion to chinnaknal ....take a deep breathe cozzz you will be experiencing the adventurous road towards your plantation bungalow.our driver had come this way for the first time & started throwing tantrums coz of the hilly & muddy path.We felt disappointing at that moment at my decision as my driver told how can someone stay at this place for two days.But after we reached the property ..we were stunned.sweet suja received us at the main bungalow & arranged our way to the room.I had booked an elegant room.The room was very tidy & beautifully decorated.The balconies had a wonderful view.we enjoyed our tea in the balcony hearing to the in-house singer bird that is always whistling in the plantation from morning to evening. each part of the room & bungalow are crafted. The food was good & tasty.we almost forgot about the bad roads & enjoyed evry bit of our stay.I had informed suja about our anniversary in advance & she and her team gave us the biggest surprise.They arranged a romantic candle light dinner & decorated the whole seperate dining area with candles & made our anniversary a special one. It was worth staying in Neelakurunji & specially if you are in the group then I advice you to pick this place.you will enjoy it to the core. areas of improvement: approach roads , wi-fi,spa,more activities

calm and serene... the best spot for meditation and Yoga.....road to the resort is damaged for 500mts... guests can request for their Jeep if not comfortable driving this damaged part of the road. ... service is good...pls call them and give them an idea of your taste buds... however menu is almost fixed...they have a badminton court, campfire etc...they can arrange for walks....Jeep safaris to nearby sight seeing spots...lot of scope for trekking too....boys there will help you out sincerely...charges for Jeep are displayed at reception area.. there are 10 rooms there...clove rooms are the most spacious and with wooden floorinv.. twin rooms is apt for two families...rooms are awesome with mystical ambience and the views are also excellent...I would say the mystical silence at the place is the most welcoming factor.

I had planned my Munnar trip only to spend time in this property, but Neelakurunji Plantation denied my booking at the last moment ( though the booking was made 3 days ago) and I was left stranded on the roads of Munnar with my family and a small kid. I do not understand how can a booking which was made 3 days earlier get cancelled without any prior intimation. I had not even checked other properties and had directly booked Neelakurunji Plantation. I had one of the worst ever experiences thanks to Neelakurunji and Goibibo
