Kashmir in winter can be great or horrible if you don’t get the best budget hotel to cater most of your needs
Golden Sands was one we can suggest 100s of times
Heating blankets big room heaters 24hr hot water supply
Mr Ghihan from management was a huge help.Hotel was booked but yet he helped us store our luggage without any issues for over a day.

Before heading out to this hotel I would like you to remember this .First of all hotel is very far away from dal lake approx 2 km which we have to travel all by auto which takes 100 rs one way to get there . Also if you are heading out to Srinagar one day is enough or max 2 days and always stay near to lake as good restaurants are there only.We asked the hotel to clean our room in the afternoon as we got ready and went somewhere but they said they clean it in the morning only.Location is not good Staff is good but not the house keeping supervisior. Thanks
