Place is good. But you may face water and Light issues. And tip culture is very prevalent.

it is the best place to stay in srinagar.. say the comfort, or the luxury, or the friendliness of Shaukat, it is the ultimate experience of happy staying in kashmir.... the service road to the house boat needs a makeover though, but the inner beauty of the boat and the view of the classical dal from it's veranda, is praiseworthy.. promise to get there again sometime..
