Riva Home Stay in Darjeeling exceeded our expectations! The cozy rooms had stunning views of the Happy valley tea estate. Our host was warm and welcoming, serving delicious homemade meals. The property was immaculately maintained, with lush gardens and a tranquil atmosphere. Highly recommend for a peaceful and authentic Darjeeling experience!

Pros:
1. Friendly behavior of host & the host's caring nature
2.Proximity to Himalayan Mountaineering Institute & Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park
3.Away from the din & bustle of town & crowd
4.Availability of hygienic food in the homestay
5.Clean & well maintained room
6.24*7 water supply & geyser
Cons:
1.The toilet is very very small leaving no space for movement
2.Rooms are quite small and are not in commensurate with the room tariff

I booked the hotel depending on the good reviews but the location is horrible,the inly nearby place is zoo & all other places are far away. Getting a share taxi is a matter of luck & it is written that the check out time is 12 noon bt they told us to vacate it at 10.30 a.m only.Do not book this homestay.

good homestay..behaviour of the host is best..rope way,,zoo & HMI are at walk able distance(max 5-10 min).. mall is about 20-25 mins of walking from homestay.

Location is very proper, just opp the main entrance of zoo. View from the rooms are very serene. Also kitchen facility is very well equipped. The terrace also provides outstanding view.
