The ambience-wise, the place is good, High-end stay, but the maintenance is shabby. The team is very poor at work, only false promises. They fight amongst themselves, not able to pinpoint their work duty and work culture. in a place of cold weather like Srinagar, if you do not get hot water, then what do you pay so heavily for? the management says the guest is wrong. After staying 2 nights in Taj we decided to stay 1 night in Lalit. The property is undoubtedly one of the best in India. Sprawling gardens , beautiful land scape, giant beautiful chinnar trees, grand rooms , excellent food , everything was simply top notch. The only experience that was utter disappointing was the check in /front desk process. The staffs in the front desk was simply clueless and was not even trying enough to make the experience a best one and often seen apologising to almost all the customers, this is where Taj really stands out with excellent service all throughout.

The Lalit Grand Palace is a perfect holiday destination . The big lush green lawn adjoining the rooms on ground floor is an added advantage.It is surrounded by green hills on the back. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Front office Duty Manager MR Pintu Shah impressed me a lot. The room was provided with all modern amenities and air conditioning was very good though we did not use it due to cold weather.

Hotel is well located but not a great view of Dal Lake . Rooms are big and well appointed but service is just average. I will not want to go back nor recommend to anyone . It’s way too expensive and is poor value to money spent
