Shola Crown Resort - Munnar

It all started with the search of an resort at an offbeat location which has good chilling climate. And google search results fetched me details of Shola Crown. I called up the contact number of Shola crown and enquired about the weather, places to visit around the resort and other activities. The person on the other end named Kinock who happened to the owner of the property explained all the details very clearly and patiently. I should say the phone call with this person surely influenced my decision to go with the booking. We stayed 2 nights on 21st and 22nd Feb 2020 Regarding the resort, I should say I would rate 5 star for all the facilities and the service. Clean Linen, clean bathrooms, wonderful view from the luxury suite room. Clean infinity swimming pool. Great service. To add the cherry on the cake, they set up complimentary camp fire every night. Good recreation room with carroms, judo and many other games. 24 hour running hot water. I saw some reviews which say they didn't get hot water. But as they say we just have to wait for couple of mins for the hot water to flow through. The water already in the pipe has to flow through for the hot water to come in. Other negative review which I saw was regarding the condition of the road that takes you to the resort when you come from kochi. As suggested by Kinock, we took the route vytila-muvattupuzha-vannapuram-kanjikuzhy-vellathooval-rajakkad-rajakumari-pooppara-shola crown. Until the last 10 kilometres the road condition is pretty good. But the last 10 kms where the construction works are going on would take you atleast 20-30 mins to cover. One of the other negative review was regarding the overpriced restaurant charges. And I completely agree with that. The food prices are over charges with 35 rs for a single chappathi, around 300 rs for chicken dishes, 40 rs for lime juice, 140 rs for fresh juices. With no good restaurants nearby we are left with no other options. So average cost for dinner/lunch would come around Rs 350-400 per person. That's on the negative side. However the food quality is good. Complimentary breakfast is nice. Keeping the restaurant bill nightmare away, it was a wonderful stay at Shola Crown.!! I would definitely come back for another peaceful weekend. The infinity pool, winds, climate, view from resort are the highlights!! Highly recommended keeping the restaurant charges at bay!!

Words are less to describe how amazing this hotel is!! You will need to come here and experience this! Truly super class hospitality provided by the staff especially by Mr. Santhosh, this person is super polite and very helpful. The food they serve is out of the world, super delicious!! Pro Tip: Do try chef's special Carrot Halwa, you will thank me laters :) The chef here prepares superb dishes. In our 2 night stays we did not go anywhere else to eat since we were attracted to the food they prepare here. Who needs TV when you have such amazing views of nature around you, just loved the peace here and truly it's what God's own country is all about, this place is a heaven on earth experience, yes I mean it!! The Crown suite room they have is just wonderful, it has the duplex room with an additional bed at the top and has an amazing view outside it's balcony. The campfire they have at night after dinner is amazing, really feels awesome at night while the weather is freezingly cold. Last but not the least, Mr. Sebastian Joseph who is the owner of this property is the most humble and down to earth person I have ever met. He really made us feel homely and I must say he really is behind the happy faces of it's customers. They went above and beyond our expections as they made special arrangements for our anniversary which was a few days ago. I just said that we had our anniversary a few days ago and the last day of our trip he and his staff made really nice arrangements with a cake cutting ceremony, we were very happy as it made our day! So to all the nature lovers and foodies, I highly recommend this hotel. You must visit this. This is truly a place to visit in my list at least twice a year and we also are planning to celebrate a wedding here since the location is just marvelously beautiful. Perfect hotel for Couples, Families. Hotel is clean and provides you great hospitality.The hotel owner is very helpful, down to earth person and will guide you throughout your stay. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and the restaurant supervisor deserves a special thanks..The hotel provides u almost every facilities.The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment.The atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the general manager who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!

it is excellent hotel in munnar.it is around 30 km away from munnat.it is on hill top and excellent .wether is excellent here surronded by fog and chilled.santosh is one stop solution and excellent manager.owner is very kind and maintains relation.he did not charged buffet of our 2 children.food is traditionally kerla. excellent hotel wonder full stay.
