The houseboat is well maintained. I guess all must be so maintained. There was only 1 caretaker who handled about 3 boats at a time. Do not expect warmness in dealing with the caretaker or the owner. Do not expect your specific requirement to be met at once. The caretakers initial response would be no but may later consider the same if he feels so. The rooms are spacious. The beds make noise each time you turn side. For the price expected by them, I found hospitality missing. Even the breakfast was limited. The caretaker informed me of the room I wanted to book as Deluxe and when it came to owner he mentioned that it was Super Deluxe. Since I had already booked a Deluxe room, I agreed to pay differential amount in Cash to them for the super deluxe room. In evening when I reached the boat and questioned the caretaker he once again confirmed what he has initially said about the room of my choice - which meant that the Owner had misled me!! The Shikara from land near Nageen club and the houseboat is available for free only once a day and for rest of travel you negotiate with the Shikara person which is not going to be cheap unless we bargain hard. If you are hiring a vehicle from Srinagar, they will not drop you to the houseboat by Road but will insist on taking Shikara from the other side of Hotel. Overall, I may not stay again at this place mainly because of lack of hospitality in dealing with customer. if however you do not bother about the same and want to enjoy the houseboat experience, you may book this place. Lastly, I am not sure if the towels provided are washed after use - since we found them being put out in the Sun for drying, rather then being put to wash

Looks cozy but no basic amenities... Booked chking the reviews but the worst... No AC and not even a single small heater in the room... Even if your willing to pay more for heater you won't find... Service is very very poor... The house boat is very much deserted you need to go to there home of service boy for any help... No food is available at 5 km radius... Owner is invisible.... And on calls he is not at all friendly... No transport facilities... If you have car survived else doomed... Veryy chilling place... Location is very hard to find... I don't recommend to anyone... The owner says it is 3 star... GoIBIBO says it's 4 star... Owner says GoIBIBO is lying... GoIBIBO says owner is lying... And both didn't changed anything...

Wangnoo Houseboats, situated at Nigeen lake offers a scenic view of lake, chirping of birds, spacious rooms and clean & hygienic washrooms. The view of Nigeen lake from houseboat rooftop is majestic. However, some things to be noted are as follows: 1. If going directly from, make sure the driver knows the place (as they may drop you near exhibition hall and ask you to take the Shikara which will take 10-15 mins extra) 2. Sellers can hinder your privacy (shawlwalas, artificial jewelery wala and photographers barge in houseboats and persuade to see/buy their stuff) Overall, a nice experience.

I stayed in Wangnoo Houseboats in the month of March 2015 and my experience was pathetic. There was no electricity no hot water no electric blanket not even quality normal blanket. They didn't provide any heater in the room. No cable connection. When we asked for the same they started shouting on us. When I called goibibo regarding our problem then Hotel guys came to us and started threatening us. Dont spoil your trip by staying in this houseboat there are many others available at same / less price. Choice is yours..

Last week i went there it is very nice place.I booked that only for one day but till now I regret why not I booked this houseboat for more than even five days,,,,everybody should go this place whenever planning for Srinagar.., warm welcome very big room with attached dinning room n sitting room,,...very nice. Different experience.....nothing is beautiful compare to wangoo houseboat of my seven days journey,.... If I will make further plan for Srinagar ...will stay there surely....... U all must go

Located in Nagin lake it's quite peaceful and the water is also clean. Although we could see insects near water they did not come in the room. The caretaker being alone takes his time to serve and language is also an issue at times. Don't expect too much on service and food front. The vehicles don't drop at boat and free boat is once a day only so that too is frustrating. Owner should have unlimited to and fro services. The only plus point is cleanliness of rooms

The stay was a pleasant one. The houseboat had 3 rooms which wee very spacious, a dining hall and a lounge. Besides, there was a deck where-from we could enjoy the view of the Nigeen lake and the mountains. The boat was unexpectedly clean throughout. We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay. Wangnoo houseboats are one of the best houseboats in Srinagar. The room service was also good. But what we did not like was the food served. The food used to be tasteless.

We Stayed in Wangnoo Houseboat on 16th and 17th May 2015. It is 3 start Hotel from Inside with all the possible amenities. It is located on less crowded Nigeen Lake. Services are good & Food is also good there. It is better if you take SHIKARA Ride along with the package other wise one has to plan it separately and haggle for the prices. In Night we sat at the edges and enjoyed the serenity of Sri Nagar.. what a experience. Thank you Wangoo House Boat...

the houseboat stay overall is good for 1-2 days since we have to live with limited amenities ( hot water, food choices, no tv in room etc.)... the honeymoon suite is magnificent, making u feel like a king with own decorated drawing, dining, room. location is nice, away from the crowded dal lake. food quality is average. despite the downsides of staying at an isolated place, it is a beautiful, serene. must-have experience.

We stayed for a night at Wanganoo houseboats on 18th July. The houseboat is very clean with all the amenities provided. The owner came to us twice to ask if everything is fine or no which shows the concern about guests. the food was cooked fresh and tasty. Overall experience was great is all I can stay and I would love to go back there and stay again next time.

The only bad part of this houseboat was the food served,it was not up to the mark, this part disappointed us not just the quality but the taste as well was not good...these boats were floating on the "Nageen Lake" it was in remote area, so easily approachable...and they have been providing the pick and drop facility drop from one shore to another..

Recommendable for location, service, food and cleanliness. Specially mentioning the service provided by young caretaker Waseem. I stayed at Dal and Nigeen both the lakes. To me Nigeen is better in terms of less crowd, scenic view and cleanliness. Overall an experience to cherish over and over in times.

the houseboat is located in silent lake - nigeen lake. it provides awesome views of mountains and the lakes. one of the few houseboats that offer full views to all the rooms as the houseboat is stationed horizontally. highly recommended.

We stayed in wangnoo for 2 nights. The interior and all is superb. but if we talk abt the service and food, it sucked bigtime. it's not worth the money they took. electricity on both days was only there for 2-3 hours! sad it was.

They tend to shift you to various other dirty houseboats, you need to fight for original wangnoo houseboats.. It is far away from the city but nageen lake is a pretty one.. The suite rooms in the boat are pretty..
