I booked two rooms. One of the rooms was small but the suite room was really good and huge. The hospitality was simply amazing. There is a roadside parking available. This resort is far from the main city, around 20 kms. It is pretty close to the Rumtek monastery. The views from the room were amazing. I felt safe there with my family. The owner was very humble.

this is an awesome hotel.there was an communication. thanks goibibo and hotel manager to solve the issue promptly.it was a happy stay and food was also very fresh and tasty..service was excellent..

Received a warm and courteous welcome. Location and Scenic beauty are the main highlights of this place. The Garden and lawn area needs more maintenance.

Excellent Service , Piece of mind , away from loud and running Gangtok city , great Food .Overall Great experience .Only problem is far from Gangtok town and is near rumtek monastery

First of all Bamboo retreat is for those who seeking solitude from crowded place and noisy atmoshphere. It is not in Gangtok and set on rumtek road which is 35 mins away by car from Main Gangtok. It is a boutique hotel which room base on Tibetean culture and colors. You will find every room is seperated from other. Stayed for just one day in June 15 though i will remember it for life time..theme based rooms, beautiful garden, small library, mouth watering food, breathtaking view of Gangtok in night..everything was near to perfect..It is bit far from city and close to Rumtek monastry.

hotel staff especially manager suraj were quite helpful.he arranged all our taxis including nathula pass by requesting him through phone calls. Mr Davo, served everything to us very nicely. they provided best food i had during my sikkim trip. However, there is no other hotel nearby so you dont have any other option except eating in the hotel itself in the evening.
