I recently stayed at The Golden Crest Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The room was clean, cozy, and offered an amazing view. The breakfast menu was good, and the prime location made it convenient to explore. Overall, a comfortable and satisfying stay. Initially I booked it for two days and later extended our stay for two more days. I would surely recommend it to others coming to Gangtok. Don't even book a room in this hotel,
the housekeeping staff are all thieves as well as the manager
we lost a pair of earrings when the room was locked during our visiting time .
And the water supply service is just hilarious, you won't get water in the bathroom .
overall worst experience

Had one of the worst staying experiences in Sikkim.... Was given a room with no lock Nd they expected us to adjust. was given a room that was of lower catagory but no compensation was given by the manager. The staff and manager even lied about the room being of same type when they themselves admitted it was of a lower catagory... and nothing was done

NOT UPTO THE MARK AS THEY LACKED SERVICE AND PROPER AMENITIES. BREAKFAST WAS SHABBY. ROOMS ARE WITHOUT AC AND HEATERS. ROOM HEATERS PROVIDED AT AN EXTRA COST WHICH ARE COIL HEATERS AND HARDLY KEEPS THE ROOM WARM. SERVICE EXTREMELY SLOW AS REPEATED REQUESTS FOR FIXING THE TV TOOK 15 HRS TO MAKE IT FUNCTION. CARPETS ARE UNCLEAN AS WELL.

Breakfast was good, though not with multiple options but no complaints. Room quite unclean, common areas not clean. Felt like the hotel was once a fairly managed one but not any more. good location along main road. Staff little careless. Could be better overall to recommend.
