I recently had the pleasure of staying at Triumph Houseboats in Srinagar, and it was an unforgettable experience. Everything was okay except frequenct power cut, hot water was available from 7-9am only. I recommend to stay there for only 1 night.

I highly recommend this houseboat. I booked the houseboat for my parents and parents in law. The house boat is neat and clean. It is accessible both by shikara and road. Taxi can arrive near the boathouse which is a great plus. The view from balcony is stunning. Staff is very cooperative, Houseboat manager understood my parents need and made the accomodation accordingly. The dinner served to them was very tasty. They charged a hefty 450 per person for dinner, and the food was not upto the mark. Food is generally prepared in bulk for his 3-4 houseboats, you have to eat that only even if it is cold. The room service is non existing, provided water bottles on chasing them only. The towels provided were unhygenic. The beds were from the era of 1900s, even if you try to sit on them, it makes too much noise.
The boats are too old, the wooden boundaries on the deck are too week to protect anyone from falling. ...more

Had a bad experience. Rating 2 stars (instead of 0) only because the houseboat rooms are good.
However, the food is overpriced... Rs. 450 for non veg meals and Rs. 400 for veg. The manager Nasir refused to give us a food bill, just communicated the amount verbally. He asked multiple times to pay the dues without bill, collected Rs. 4300 from us and disappeared. We had to checkout at 10am and we asked Nasir well ahead to arrange for shikaras, but we couldn't find him till 10:30am. He was not eve ...more

Great Property! Can Reach There By Car. Parking Is Just Next To The Houseboat.
All Is Good Except One Thing. They Serve Meals In A Tent Near Houseboat As A Buffet Just Considering Their Own Convenience. We Had To Argue To Serve Us The Same In A Dining Area On A Houseboat, For The Purpose People Come There...To Enjoy The Whole Ecosystem. But Later On, They Served Us As Per Our Demand.
However, The Staffs Are Excellent In Providing Service.

there is no proper service at this houseboat ....even they don't give u mug to bath ......every time u have to go to outside ...ask for every thing ..i won't visit this boat again ....
