Its just a second home where you will be taken care of for every detail. This is basically a homestay managed by uncle and aunti. Uncle specially looks after the management and aunti looks after the fooding and essentialities just like a mother.I stayed there for 3 nights, standard double bed room and they provided a very neat and clean room with window view of the road side. They seemed to be strict regarding the food ordering and food delivery timings, may be because the homestay was managed , cooked by the owners itself. And this results a very tasty food cooked with great care in both traditional and common Indian taste. I went there with my wife and two year old son. The fooding (khicdi) and hot water ( free of charge) for my son were provided whenever required. As I said earlier its not a hotel but a homestay where you can spend time in the lobby reading newspapers, sit in the dinning room, roam about in the entire property and also move to the terrace with sitting arrangements which gifts you an excellent view of the mountains and the town. You can click some photos and selfies with this beautiful background. My son for a moment feel ill due to altitude sickness but the motherly treatment of aunti helped my son recover from the illness. Regarding the food it was very tasty but bit costly but considering the cost of vegetables and other stuff in the town, the rates were considerable. Any help rather it be a cab booking or share taxi booking or any requirement and suggestions , uncle aunti were always there to help you. If any memory I have to keep about Gangtok, I consider the stay at the homestay was the best and shall remain in memory for long time.

Its a really pleasant stay in Tashi Tagey. Even we never felt we are in a hotel. Its like a home only. Al the photos and other objects are finely placed in everywhere. at one point you may compare your home with Tashi Tagey. I should not forget to mention the host Mr.Dorji & Mrs. Nyima. They are really very nice person. The hotel is situated only 10 mins away from M.G Marg, you can take any taxi, it will cost you Rs 20 only. Foods are awesome, though I think price is little bit high.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights recently. What we get there and the way uncle(owner), aunty, their son and staff of the hotel made us feel was really unexpected. Its a great place to stay and one will feel worth every penny paid in Gangtok. Its a tough place but we just felt home. Food is an another plus point of this hotel if u lIke home cooked food away. Thank you everyone at the hotel for making our trip special with your smiles and service.

You can feel a home away from home. A beautiful property with very decent rooms and you can enjoy a great view from the terrace. Very nicely maintained by Uncle and Auntie. The food is very homely, and tasty too, personally taken care by Auntie, and if you are travelling with your little one, definitely you can expect a great homely food for him/her. I rate this hotel with 5 stars, and feel, it’s a perfect destination for a great family holiday!

The hotel is located on the main road so it is not at all difficult to locate the hotel. I was travelling here from Silliguri so it took me around 4 HRS to reach the hotel. Overall no problems faced during my hotel stay here with anything. I liked everything about the hotel. It was a very good stay. The rooms were great and the services also went very fine. I Liked my stay here very much.. It is a very good options for the couples and family.

Stay at this hotel was one of the experiences in my north sikkim and gangtok trip and undoubtedly one of the best experience. The hosts( uncle and aunty ) were really good. Never made me feel I was staying at a hotel. This place I would really want to visit again. The terrace view is one of the awesome attraction of this hotel. The decoration of interior is very nice.I can never forget the hospitality given here to me and my friends.

Excellent rooms, service and staff. We simply loved our stay here. Our only word of caution is that if you are devout Muslims you will not get halal food in the entire area..you have to be prepared to have vegetarian diet till your stay. Even Mg road is accessible via shared taxi stand right in front of the hotel only for Rs. 20. Indeed we enjoyed our stay here.

Stayed three nights, hotel just besides the main road and in front of a bus stand, convenient though budget rooms are a bit noisy. Clean hotel, superb food cooked by the owner. They add a personal touch to the whole experience and are really very nice people.

This was a never expected experience.. The view from the roof was amazing. The owners are very sweet, polite and very much helpful.. nice homely atmosphere.. Food was too good and tasty.. not very far from MG Marg, Gangtok, hardly takes 5/7 mins..
