Good experience overall. Just a few meters walk down from the main Mall. Do note that cars are not allowed inside the Mall. So one has to get down at the footstep of the Mall road ( we got down at Bhanu Bhavan), hire a porter (100 rs) and walk some 800 meters to the hotel. We had hired a cab (Maruti Dzire) from Siliguri to Darjeeling for 3000 rs. Took around 3.5 hrs. Quite a bit of traffic jam after Kurseong.Check in experience was smooth. Staff was friendly. Rooms are decent. Geyser does not work properly. Bathroom had an unpleasant smell. Service is extremely slow and unprofessional. Even after we clearly mentioned that we need to leave at a certain time and placed order 2 hours in advance, bill and food ordered was not ready. Man at reception kept making excuses and finally we were delayed by half an hour. although the resort is on the other side of Mall Road, I don't have one negative remark for it. Bishal da was an amazing host along with the other staff in the property.The suite room is amazing made with so much space and privacy with an outstanding view.. Breakfast items were limited but good quality.

It was truly a wonderful experience staying at Central Gleneagles Heritage Resort in Darjeeling for 4 nights. The view from the attached terrace was absolutely breathtaking, offering some of the best scenic landscapes I've ever seen. Waking up to the stunning vistas was a highlight of my trip. We took the room which has attached terrace. The view was definitely incredible but the room smelt of dampness and so did the linen. The carpet in the room looked dirty. Our booking had breakfast included but we did not try the breakfast as we were concerned about the hygiene. The washroom water pressure was very low.
