New Jeddah Houseboat

the houseboat as mentioned is located at nigeen lake and is very well maintained, the service is nothing special but prompt, you we get what you asked for and that's about it. although it is a bit far from dal lake but you will love if you want to be in solitude. it surrounded by green weeds in the lake and not clear water. we stayed for 1 night, we went to dal lake for food as didn't find any good vegetarian restaurants or dhabas nearby. the food is a bit expensive , but the beverages here are reasonably priced. no welcome drink served like in other hotels. we order kahwa and it was descent. the owners son had come to welcome us but looked as if he was there just for formality. he asked me to sign the register, pointed out to the servant Hari and left. Hari was very helping and was always at our service, 5 stars for him :)

It was very peasant Stay. It is among one of the best places to stay. The owner Mr. Majid is a wonderful person and helps in giving out the right information. The place Nigeen lake is far better than Dal lake. I and my wife had a wonderful stay. The staff Mr. Amin is a great person and has been giving shikara rides for 35 years. Mr. Hari a young man is a amazing person who takes care of all the on board requirements. The driver Shakeel is an expert driver and very helpful guy. I look forward to visit again soon. It's a life time experience. The homemade food from Mr. Majid's house was delicious. It a home away from home. Make sure to have a post paid mobile connection. No pre paid network will work if SIM id not from J&K.

It has been a fantastic experience staying at jeddha houseboats. It was very cosy and comfortable. The food was awesome - just like home cooked food, as well as very tasty. We stayed two days in house boat and remaining days in the hotel, what I find is breakfast is not up to the mark and there are very few options compared to hotel stay, also some time hot water will not come. These are the two things which I feel needs improvement
