I booked this hotel through GoIbibo. Both checkin & checkout were really smooth. The front desk and the room service staff were extremely courteous, friendly and prompt in their service. The hotel also arranged cars for our local sightseeing, transfer to NJP etc. We booked cars thrice during our stay for different purposes. It was just a phone call that was needed and this saved us a lot of time. The best thing about Sonam Delek is the awesome view of Kanchenjunga that you get right from the balcony of your room! We got up at 5am in the morning and saw a bright and sunlight Kanchenjunga peak right in front of us. Sonam Delek undoubtedly offers the best view among all the hotels in Gangtok. We booked two super deluxe rooms. One was on the floor below the reception and the other was one the floor above the reception. Both rooms offered the same view of the Kanchenjunga. Location wise, the hotel is around 400m from the busy shopping centre - M.G Marg. One can walk downhill and easily reach M.G Marg in 8 to 10 mins. However, the uphill walk to the hotel from MG Marg is quite a steep trek (very difficult for the elderly). The food that the hotel served was good with a variety of chinese, tibetan and indian food. However, we had our dinner in various restaurants in the nearby M.G Marg quite a few times. Overall it is an excellent hotel to stay in Gangtok. I strongly recommend Sonam Delek.

The best part of the hotel is that it is maintained by well managed professionals. The staffs are very polite and very helpfull, they even arranged innova at the last moment on my request and that to in the peak season for getting down to Siliguri at the same rate (Rs.*****) which I saw researched from internet. Practically speaking, I have absolutely no qualms. I stayed in the hotel from 28.05.2016 to 01.06.2016 in room no. 403 (super deluxe room) it's really a good hotel for the price I paid. From the balcony I could see the snow peak Kanchenjunga. I travelled with family comprising of my better half and two minor kids one 9 yrs and other 4 yrs and that was my biggest worry, but they enjoyed their stay at the hotel every bit. The food was good and overall a very very good stay at the hotel. If I again go to Gangtok Ishall prefer this hotel anytime and shall recommend my friends and relatives about this hotel. The photos were on my mobile from the balcony of the room.

stayed at this hotel for 4 nights from 29 December 2019 to 2 January 2020... the hotel had a very courteous, helpful and always smiling staff... we stayed at room 304 which had a very beautiful view of Kanchenjunga... u can enjoy sunrise and sunset therefrom... however the room interior needs immediate overhaul... the furniture is old and torn out... bathroom fitting are too old... the breakfast was average... the location is quite convenient from MG marg... would like to stay again if rooms are renovated else not... u can hear the noise of people staying in adjacent room... this was a letdown...

It was our Honeymoon Trip & it was our first visit to Gangtok. We booked the rooms through goibibo. It was just wonderful stay. The service was awesome, staffs are well mannered and co-operative. Rooms are good, neat & clean. The view is just the best from this hotel. We enjoyed our stay here & its memorable. This hotel made our Honeymoon awesome with the great view of Kanchenjunga. We just love it. Last but not the least, the food was simple but great...its tasty & yummy......specially we miss the puri bhaji in breakfast. Thanks to the Hotel Management & Staffs.

We stayed at Sonam Delek for 3 nights and enjoyed every moment of our stay. The staff is very courteous and helping and at you beck and call all day through. They will guide you on how to move around in Sikkim. Food is great and the cook was very helpful even with our special requests of jain food in this part of the country. Food was better than many other recommended vegetarian restaurants in the town. The scenic beauty out of our balcony of super deluxe room was astounding. All in all a very nice hotel at a price of a big luxurious hotel.

Awesome stay i had there, services of the hotel was so smooth and fast too. The staff was so sincere that they had provided us an appropriate and fast rom service and the reception staff was also good, made our check in and check out hassle free. Rooms alloted to us was superblyfurnished with good decors and the mountain view form the room was really amazing. And in complimentary, WiFi and hot water was there but the breakfast was chargeable.

It is a nice comfortable hotel. Main market MG Road is at a walkable distance and the restaurant is good. You can get a great view of Kanchenjunga from the balcony of the hotel. The best part is the room boys, who keep smiling and running to fulfil all your requests. The chef happily cooked an item for us which was not in the menu. The breakfast was complementary and made to order. Though it took slightly long to be served, it was delicious.

Superb, loved this hotel. Located just 0.5 km from MG Marg.we got the super delux room and it was amazing. We got amazing views of the hills, small balcony to sit, heater for those cold nights, clean room, cleam bathrooms. The staff was very courteous and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

it was a superb stay in hotel Sonam Delek. It is not a very fancy hotel but very neat and clean and offers decent food. it has very good view of kanchanjhangha from super delux rooms. hotel staff are very good and helpful, especially pinto. 4.5/5 for value for money and a good stay close to m g road.

I stayed in SONAM DELEK ON 30th June 2014. This is the best place to stay. Standard rooms are ok but there is no view. But super deluxe room are awesome with amazing view. I would like to stay next time in this hotel.
