Belgaum is situated at a distance of 502 km from Bangalore in the  Indian state of Karnataka. Places to visit
Belgaum has many attraction points. Gokal falls, Belgaum fort and Amboli village are some of the most visited tourist destinations in the city. Here, you can also see monuments from Chalukya era and an old river-front temple dedicated to Lord Mahalingeshwara. 
Belgaum Fort is another popular tourist attraction with a rich history. The fort has huge walls, parapets, battlements and a  deep moat which is given by Yakub Ali Khan of Bijapur Sultanate. 
Amboli is a beautiful hill-station situated 67.9 km away from Belgaum with lots of natural springs and waterfalls. It is known to receive a heavy amount of rainfall. There are many prominent airlines connecting Belgaum with these cities such as  Indigo, Spicejet, Air India and Alliance Air . Belagavi Railway Station is the main railway station serving Belgaum. It is well connected to Goa, Mumbai, Pune/Delhi (via Miraj) and Bangalore (via Hubli).
Belgaum has a good road network which connects it from several major destinations like Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Bangalore via NH4. This city connects with Karnataka and Goa via NH-4A.
