    The National War Museum was built in 1997 and is a memorial for Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation. It was established by citizens of Pune under the Express Citizen Forum which established the War Memorial Fund.

  • Pataleshwar Cave Temples

    The Pataleshwar Cave Temples is dedicated to Lord Pataleshwar- the God of Underwater and Lord Shiva. The design of these temples is similar to those of Elephanta Cave. It was constructed in 8th century and many of its stones date back to 700 to 800 AD. These temples are considered to be a part of the protected monuments category of Pune.

  • Bhairavnath Temple

    Bhairavnath Temple is situated in a thickly forested area near Lonavala. It is an ancient shrine dedicated to Lord Bhairava, an incarnation of Lord Shiva. The architecture of this temple resembles any other Shiva Temple in Konkon region. Not only devotees, but also tourists from nearby cities and other parts of India visit the shrine during their trip to Lonavala. Cool breeze, green surrounding and ancient architecture contribute to the temple's unique charm and heavenly beauty. There are many small shrines dedicated to various Hindu deities are located inside the main sanctum of the temple.

     

  • Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum

    The museum is situated at Bajirao Road and consists of art and crafts collected by late Shri Dinkar Kelkar. The museum has 42 sections and displays 12.5% of everyday art and craft in 6 galleries.
